Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager at our Longmont, CO facility.
Responsibilities
- Proposal Support: Shape opportunities, develop schedules/budgets, lead management volumes, and participate in proposal review to ensure complete bid packages.
- Contract Award & Baseline: Define scope, WBS, and cost/schedule baseline; ensure ITAR, cyber, and security compliance.
- Planning & Teaming: Form cross-functional teams, build strategic IMS, risk plans, and supplier strategies.
- Execution Through Product Lifecycle: Manage design, integration, test, LRIP, and transition to full-rate production; control cost, schedule, and technical performance using risk/change tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support customer interface along with the Project Engineer; brief executives and maintain clear communication.
- Financial Management: Track budgets, resources, EACs, and margins; drive cost and schedule improvements.
- Change Management: Support the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
- Delivery & Closeout: Oversee acceptance, lessons learned, and documentation.
- Sustainment & Growth: Support upgrades, refreshes, and pursue follow-on opportunities.
- Support the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
- Manages scope creep and determines whether contract changes to budget and deadlines are needed
- Resolve roadblocks across program team and build solutions into future processes as needed
- Proactively manages supply chain, ensuring excellence on the approved vendors list and engages with key suppliers as needed to deliver material elements of programs or products in time to meet program or product objectives.
- Up to 15% travel may be required
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 10 years of related project management experience
- Prior success in full life cycle (front to end process) program/project management
- Prior success in product development, including new product introduction and transition to volume production
- Experience with department of defense acquisition
- Experience with DoD financial management regulations, “colors of money”
- Previously demonstrated strong change management (scope creep) and influencing capabilities
- Experienced with P&L management, program execution, business plans and strategies across teams in the aerospace/space industry
- Experience in government and commercial contracting including Other Transaction (Agreements OTAs), Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable and Time & Materials (T&M) type contracts
- Experience with PCBA CM management
- Experience with FAA qualification and DO-160 processes
- Experience with Earned Value Management

- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills
- Strong business acumen along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
