Summary
Redwire Space Solutions, LLC has an opportunity for a Project Manager (willing to consider all levels) at our facility in Longmont, CO. In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of technical leads to develop space-based products and systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead technically complex projects in accordance with contractual requirements, project scope and risk tolerance
- Develop project budgets, detailed schedules and associated spend plans and provide monthly variance reporting on ETC and EAC
- Facilitates the decision-making process to progress actions and tasks towards meeting aggressive milestones, deliverables, and cost targets
- Create monthly revenue forecasts aligning with project schedule, material receipts, build and test activity
- Manage project revenue and margins commensurate with Redwire profitability milestones
- Perform data mining and analysis for monthly reports and revenue forecasting
- Coordinate with resource managers to obtain and maintain appropriate staffing for project execution and on time delivery
- Manage risk identification, monitor programmatic and technical risks and proactively prepare for project issues by establishing mitigation activities
- Communicate program execution health and risk assessment on regular intervals to Redwire Leadership and customer teams
- Execute projects in accordance with internal QMS and AS9100 requirements
- Identifies and addresses project technical and programmatic problems and collaborates with team to recommend and drive to resolution to ensure successful project completion
- Coordinate with lead and project engineers to assist in the technical leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary staff
- Support Redwire growth objectives by establishing proposal scope of work, cost and schedule estimates for new and derivative aerospace products
- Simultaneous management of multiple subcontractors and other technical partners in the pursuit of project objectives
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering or other STEM field, with 5 or more years of related project management experience.
- Prior experience in full life cycle (front to end process) program/project management, from initial requirements development though Project Status Report (PSR) and customer integration
- Prior success in product development, including new product introduction and transition to volume production
- Experience in government and commercial contracting including Other Transaction (Agreements OTAs), Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable and Time & Materials (T&M) type contracts
- Experience managing complex schedules and budgets in support of large development programs with an emphasis on IMS and critical path management, labor and non-labor planning, baseline change control and variance analysis
- Previously demonstrated strong change management (scope creep) and influencing capabilities
- Experienced in root cause and corrective action processes to address project technical issues
Desired Skills
- Advanced MS Office Suite experience, including Microsoft Project
- Track record of results achieved in a dynamic environment where the right course of action is not always the textbook answer
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships
- Basic technical understanding and experience leading RF projects.

- Prior success in “righting the ship” when needed, prioritizing and making solid business decisions
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, especially in the aerospace/space industry

- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership
- Strong ability to partner with other functional areas (Engineering, Operations, Business Development, etc.) to ensure success

Pay range: $100,000 - $165,000

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered higher pay.
