Redwire Space is looking for Space Missions Business Development Associate to support to support National Security Space spacecraft programs, located in our Chantilly, VA office.
Redwire is an innovative space technology developer driven by some of the most cutting-edge capabilities in the aerospace industry. Specifically, we are looking for a Space Missions Business Development Associate who can provide in engineering and mission solution support for spacecraft proposals efforts, managing and tracking leads, assisting with opportunity conversion and bids focused on winning new business and driving rapid growth for satellites, space domain awareness, space resiliency, structures, and sensors and components. Will assist with building new spacecraft opportunities for DoD VLEO – Cislunar space missions, and related research and development activities to provide game changing capabilities for the Space Force, and Intelligence Community.
The position is focused on BD solution support for market penetration for Redwire’s key mission partners and customers, who are focused on high quality spacecraft, autonomy, space domain awareness missions, and space superiority. Provide BD support for SM proposal support. Prepare written, technical reports to management, indicating solutions or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability or probability of success. Assists Redwire’s executive leadership team by preparing memos, presentations, models, and other materials to communicate technical and non-technical results.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a US citizen
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other STEM related degree.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering concept development
- Must be able to develop and present project information to internal teams and external customers
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Experience with Microsoft tool suite, STK, and MATLAB
- Out of the area and overnight travel
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other STEM related degree.
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Ability to develop, manage, and finalize documentation/designs for proposals
- Engage in a wide variety of projects in support of growth strategies, contracts, and proposals
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and space market trends
- Experience with DoD and IC customer engagement and management
- Experience with Robotics and autonomy software
- Demonstrated creative and innovation thinking, problem solving skills,
- Background in structural analysis and/or systems engineering
- Review of models to ensure adequacy or determine need for reformation
- Research trends of new and existing products and capabilities
